丹後には大陸から伝わった様々な技術が土地の産業として根付いてきた。中でも丹後を代表する絹織物を使った、食の空間を構想する試み。丹後ちりめんには、道の駅の前に広がる黄金色の稲穂を連想させる箔加工を施した。反物を彷彿させる天井と、空間全体を同素材で包み込み、自然の恵みを感じ、堪能できる空間を目指した。

Various techniques introduced from the continent have taken root in Tango as local industries. This is an attempt to create a dining space using one of the most representative of Tango, Tango chirimen. Tango chirimen is decorated with foil to evoke the golden ears of rice that spread out in front of the roadside station. With a ceiling reminiscent of roll of cloth and the entire space wrapped in the same material, we aimed to create a space where visitors can feel and enjoy the blessings of nature.
