創業から300年の歴史を重ねてきた日本旅館三木屋は、文豪志賀直哉が幾度となく逗留し、名作短編「城の崎にて」が生まれた宿。昨年、須田悦弘が志賀の著書「朝顔」から着想を得た作品を展示した志賀直哉ゆかりの部屋では、新里明士が創造の空間を引き継ぎ自身の手で生み出した陶磁器作品を展示する。

Ryokan Mikiya, which has been in business for 300 years, is the ryokan where the renowned author Naoya Shiga stayed many times and where his famous short story “At Kinosaki” was born. Last year, Yoshihiro Suda exhibited works inspired by Shiga's book “Morning Glories” in the room associated with Shiga. This year, Akio Niisato will take over the room and exhibit ceramic works.
