Taiza Children's Cooking Class “Tomorrow's Kitchen – Shumai lunch”

EDUCATIONFOODWORKSHOP

Children’s Kitchen in Taiza was held on October 22 as part of Tomorrow Field’s program.  Schoolchildren in Kyotango City gathered to cook Shumai lunch together with chef Tetsuo Yoshioka of Berangkat and his creative team.

Tomorrow Field has always aimed to provide opportunities for future generations to experience the beauty of taste, appearance, and ingredients. Living in Japan teaches us that there are four seasons. However, it is difficult to realize just by going to the grocery stores that provide us with almost anything regardless of the seasons.

Yoshioka now runs a restaurant in Kyoto city, but his family was originally from Miyazu, which is next to Kyotango and shares the same food culture. He desired to hold a workshop for local children and share the joy of cooking and eating what’s good for us.

It was the very first time for us to hold a workshop designed exclusively for children.

The documents tell us the beauty of life and each moment is precious.

The creative act is really a hope.
